Ticket Cove Terms & Conditions
Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all ticket purchases made via Ticket Cove.
When purchasing tickets, you are entering into:
- a contract with the event organiser (“Promoter”) for the event itself; and
- a separate agreement with Ticket Cove for the use of its ticketing platform and services.
Ticket Cove may act as:
- the ticketing platform only, or
- both the ticketing platform and the Promoter (for events operated by Gelos Network / The Laughter Lab).
Section A — Event Terms (Promoter Terms)
These terms relate to the event you are attending.
1. Tickets & Admission
1.1 All tickets are sold subject to availability.
1.2 A valid ticket must be presented for entry (digital or printed).
1.3 Tickets may not be resold, transferred, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
1.4 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse admission where a ticket is invalid, duplicated, or obtained fraudulently.
2. Pricing & Fees
2.1 The total price you pay may include:
- the ticket price (set by the Promoter)
- a booking fee (per ticket)
- a transaction fee (per order)
2.2 Booking and transaction fees are charged by Ticket Cove and are non-refundable in all circumstances (see Section B).
3. Age Restrictions
3.1 Events are strictly 18+ unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Valid photographic ID may be required for entry.
3.3 Failure to provide valid ID may result in refused entry without refund.
4. Seating & Admission Timing
4.1 Seating is unreserved unless stated otherwise.
4.2 Seating is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
4.3 Groups are not guaranteed to be seated together unless arriving early.
4.4 Latecomers may be refused entry once the event has started.
5. Behaviour
5.1 The Promoter and/or venue reserves the right to:
- refuse entry; or
- remove any attendee
for behaviour deemed:
- disruptive
- unsafe
- abusive
- intoxicated
5.2 No refunds will be issued in such cases.
6. Event Content & Line-ups
6.1 All advertised line-ups are subject to change without notice.
6.2 The Promoter reserves the right to alter:
- performers
- running order
- content
6.3 No refunds or compensation will be provided for line-up changes.
7. Event Changes (Timing & Format)
7.1 The Promoter may alter event:
- timings
- format
- running schedule
where reasonably required.
7.2 Such changes do not entitle the ticket holder to a refund.
8. Cancellations & Rescheduling
8.1 If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, ticket holders will be notified via the email used at purchase.
8.2 In such cases, you may:
- retain your ticket for the rescheduled date; or
- request a refund of the ticket price only
8.3 Booking fees and transaction fees are not refundable.
9. Refund Policy
9.1 All ticket sales are final.
9.2 No refunds will be issued for:
- change of mind
- illness
- travel disruption
- personal circumstances
- inability to attend
9.3 Refunds are only available if:
- the event is cancelled; or
- the event is rescheduled (and you cannot attend)
9.4 All refund decisions are made by the Promoter.
10. Photography & Recording
10.1 Photography and recording by attendees is prohibited unless authorised.
10.2 Attendees may be filmed, photographed, or recorded for:
- promotional
- security
- broadcast purposes
By attending, you consent to such use.
11. Personal Property
11.1 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for:
- lost
- stolen
- damaged property
12. Travel & Venue
12.1 Attendees are responsible for:
- travel arrangements
- parking
- arrival time
12.2 The Promoter is not liable for delays caused by:
- traffic
- public transport
- external disruption
13. Force Majeure
13.1 The Promoter shall not be liable for failure to deliver an event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- extreme weather
- government restrictions
- strikes
- illness of performers
- venue issues
13.2 In such cases, the event may be cancelled or rescheduled in line with Section 8.
Section B — Ticket Cove Platform Terms
These terms relate to the use of the Ticket Cove platform.
14. Role of Ticket Cove
14.1 Ticket Cove acts as a ticketing agent on behalf of event organisers.
14.2 The contract for the event itself is between:
- you (the customer); and
- the Promoter
14.3 Ticket Cove is not responsible for the delivery or quality of the event.
15. Formation of Contract
15.1 A binding contract is formed when:
- payment is successfully completed; and
- a confirmation is issued
15.2 This contract is with the Promoter, not Ticket Cove.
16. Fees (Booking & Transaction Fees)
16.1 Ticket Cove charges:
- a booking fee per ticket; and/or
- a transaction fee per order
16.2 These fees cover:
- platform operation
- payment processing
- administration
16.3 These fees are clearly displayed at checkout before purchase.
17. Non-Refundable Fees (CRITICAL)
17.1 All booking fees and transaction fees are strictly non-refundable.
17.2 This applies in all circumstances, including:
- event cancellation
- event rescheduling
- partial or full ticket refunds
17.3 These fees are retained by Ticket Cove as payment for services already provided.
18. Payments
18.1 Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
18.2 Ticket Cove does not store full payment details.
19. Refund Processing
19.1 Where a refund is approved by the Promoter:
- Ticket Cove will process the refund on their behalf
- Only the ticket price will be refunded
19.2 Booking and transaction fees will not be refunded.
20. Ticket Validity & Fraud
20.1 Ticket Cove reserves the right to:
- cancel tickets
- refuse orders
where:
- fraud is suspected
- payment is reversed
- tickets are resold unlawfully
20.2 Cancelled tickets may be void without refund.
21. Third-Party Events (Future-Proofing)
21.1 For events operated by third-party organisers:
- Ticket Cove acts solely as a platform provider and agent
- The Promoter is fully responsible for:
- the event
- refunds
- delivery
21.2 Ticket Cove accepts no liability for third-party events.
22. Limitation of Liability
22.1 To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Ticket Cove shall not be liable for:
- event cancellation
- event quality
- performer changes
- venue issues
- loss of enjoyment
22.2 Ticket Cove’s total liability shall be limited to:
- the amount of fees paid to Ticket Cove
22.3 Nothing in these terms excludes liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence
- fraud
- any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law
23. Right to Refuse or Cancel Orders
23.1 Ticket Cove reserves the right to:
- refuse
- cancel
- limit
any order at its discretion, including where:
- fraud is suspected
- pricing errors occur
- ticket limits are exceeded
23.2 A refund of the ticket price will be issued where applicable (excluding fees).
Final Provisions
24. Changes to Terms
24.1 Ticket Cove reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.
24.2 The version in force at the time of purchase will apply.
25. Governing Law
25.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
25.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
